Mr BudBud in Costa Rica
Hola Y'all!!!! Me and my Mom and Dad do animal rescue here in Costa Rica. We take in animals from the streets, from irresponsible owners,or from abusive situations and take care of them until they are healthy and happy. Then we find a great new family to adopt them. I'm Mr BudBud. Perro Primero of Lighthouse Animal Rescue. I let Mom think she is the boss of the pack but I am really the one who keeps things runnin' smooth. It's a mighty big job for a little white dog but I think I do a fine job!

Mom Got DAWG Bit!!!!!!

Hola Y'all!!!!
Guess what!!!! Mom got DAWG bit tonight!! FOUR TIMES!!!!!
Some lady called at about 9:00 and said her dog, who got spayed on Thursday, had chewed all her stitches out and they couldn't reach a vet.
Mom told her to bring the dog here and she would look at it.
Well when they got here Mom looked and found out that ALL the stitches were gone and the incision was WIDE OPEN!
Mom called our vet, Dr. Carvejal, and asked him if he would sew her back up.
Dr. C. said he didn't have any supplies or instruments at home so Mom said she'd bring all of that to his house along with the dog!!
Mom gathered up suture packs, instruments, antibiotics, anesthesia, instruments, and all the stuff they needed and they all, including Dad, headed down to Dr. C.'s
The lady told Mom that the dog goes CRAZY when it even gets a vaccine so Mom was holding the dog pretty secure when Doc stuck her with the anesthesia.
That little dog went NUTSO KOOKOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She started screaming and fighting and BITING!!!!! She bit Mom FOUR TIMES before the shot was done and Mom was able to let go.
Mom got bit on the left arm, the right arm, the chest and the FACE!!!!!
Mom says holding that little dog was like trying to hold a spinning BUZZ SAW BLADE!!!!!!!!!!!
Mom explained to the lady, who was REALLY shook up and trying to wipe the blood off Mom, that the dog has very tough skin and shots just hurt her worse than other dogs.
Anyway, little dog finally zonked and Doc was able to stitch her up and send her home with the lady.
Earlier today, our little friend Adriana came up and helped Mom clean our teeth, cut our nails and brush us. And day before yesterday Aunt Jane came up and all of us got BATHS!! So we are all clean, have minty fresh breath and neat feets!!!!
Mom sure is glad to have the help. There's 24 of us here right now and Mom says that's a lot of work!!! I dunno what she's complainin' about. I do most of the work!!!!
Cookie and Candy, the two dumped puppies, got to join the Lighthouse crew today!! We like kids. And these little guy are pretty cute. Course "Supermom Lisa" thinks she has to "mother" all of them. Sheeeesh!!!
Well, Mom says enough for tonight. Her fingers are getting tired.
Will post to you folks again when I can!!!
Tailwags from BudBud the overworked perro primero.

Help needed in Alabama
This pitiful boy was found yesterday by a landscaping crew. They were cleaning the property around an abandoned home in Ensley. He was attached to a 2 ft. chain, covered in poop because he had no where to potty, coated in flies / fleas & and left to starve to death. HAVE PEOPLE GONE MAD ??
The gentleman who found him cannot take him. Bottom line, he has nowhere to go.
Jackson urgently needs our help in 2 ways. FIRST, he needs a foster or forever home. Is anyone in a position to take this precious boy in ? I will do everything in my power to find him a permanent home. PLEASE CONTACT ME at kptill@yahoo.com
SECOND he needs the funds necessary to cover heartworm treatment. If you can contribute (anything will help), please contact:
